Hamas urges OIC and Arab League to act against Israeli aggression into al-Aqsa Mosque

Hamas has condemned the latest incursion by Israeli settlers into al-Aqsa Mosque, calling it part of a systematic Judaization plan. The Islamic Waqf warned of increasing violations at the holy site.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has strongly condemned the latest incursion by hundreds of Israeli settlers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

In a statement released on Monday, Hamas accused the settlers of storming the courtyards of the holy Muslim site and engaging in “provocative acts” under the protection of Israeli soldiers.

Hamas described the incursion as part of ongoing efforts by the occupying regime to erase the Islamic and Arab identity of the sacred site.

“These escalating and repeated incursions are part of a systematic Judaization plan led by the fascist occupying regime,” the statement read.

Hamas urged Palestinian residents across the occupied territories to unite against what it called “fascist schemes” targeting their land and holy sites.

On Monday morning, hundreds of Israeli settlers raided the al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of al-Quds, marking the latest provocation amid ongoing settler incursions.

The Islamic Endowment Department reported that more than 500 settlers entered the holy site in groups, escorted by Israeli forces.

Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa from the Moroccan Gate, located in the Western Wall of Haram al-Sharif, under the protection of heavily armed Israeli police.

According to Palestinian news agency Wafa, dozens of settlers performed Talmudic rituals and provocative dances at multiple gates leading to the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

The Islamic Waqf warned that al-Aqsa Mosque is witnessing an alarming increase in violations by Israeli settlers and police forces.

These violations include a rise in settler incursions, larger settler groups entering the site, and an increase in Talmudic prayers being performed within the mosque compound—all under Israeli military protection.

Under an agreement signed between Israel and the Jordanian government following the occupation of al-Quds in 1967, non-Muslim worship at the holy compound is prohibited. However, in practice, the ban has not been enforced effectively.

The latest settler intrusion into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound comes as Israel continues its military campaign in the Gaza Strip.

Since 2003, Israel has allowed settlers to enter the flashpoint compound almost daily.

Elsewhere in its statement, Hamas urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League to take immediate and serious action to halt Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
